BioShock Infinite er det seneste spil fra Irrational Games, som tidligere udviklet den kritikerroste BioShock, et spil, der gik på at sætte en standard for moderne historiefortælling i et videospil.
< p> den kommende titel er den tredje rate i BioShock-serien, og er sat i løbet af amerikanske ekceptionalisme i det tidlige 20. århundrede. Spillerne påtager sig rollen som en tidligere Pinkerton agent ved navn Booker DeWitt, hvem der afsendt af sine arbejdsgivere for at finde en ung kvinde ved navn Elizabeth, der har været fanget på skyen bundet by for helhed af hendes ungdom. Booker og Elizabeth er tvunget til at flygte fra byen midt i en revolutionær krig mellem byens to vigtigste fraktioner: de elitære og nativistisk Grundlæggere; og vox populi, en gruppe kommunister, hvis interesser repræsenterer dem af almindelige mennesker.
